Information Technology Manager / Assistant Information Technology Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design and oversee corporate IT infrastructure in alignment with the organisation's goals.
  • Implement, manage, and troubleshoot solutions in both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Oversee IT equipment life cycle including budgeting, evaluation, procurement, maintenance, upgrade, and retirement.
  • Spearhead IT infrastructure setup for new service units and data centres.
  • Provide seamless IT support to other internal teams, management, and end-users.
  • Engage, monitor and liaise with external partners and contractors to ensure optimal implementation and support.
  • Utilize standardised tools for monitoring performance and providing infrastructure analytics, focusing on system stability, performance, recovery, capacity planning, and event/log management.  
  • Offer strategic management support including IT budgeting and reporting to senior executives.
  • Develop, mentor, and supervise IT infrastructure teams, including helpdesk, operations, and customer service teams.

 

Requirements:

  • A Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years of robust IT infrastructure experience in an organization with over 1000 employees, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining system protection services including system upgrades, patch updates, monitoring, cybersecurity resilience, backup, and disaster recovery 
  • Capability to lead and supervise a team of infrastructure specialists to build and support corporate infrastructure, as well as manage the helpdesk, operations and customer service teams
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365
  • Familiarilty with IT management methodologies is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • A strong team player with a proactive, positive, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Less experience will be considered as Assistant Information Technology Manager
