Key Responsibilities:
- To steer the development of the children and family support services and parental education projects and ensure they are managed effectively and efficiently, in accordance with the Society’s Strategic Plans, and have the capacity to continuously upgrade service quality and handle potential risks and crisis; whilst paying special attention to the accountability requirements of Social Welfare Department, other relevant government departments or funding bodies
- To keep track with the up-to-date knowledge and skills on child development and parent support for innovation and implementation of special service projects
- To identify new service needs, consolidate service experiences, and write funding proposal and report to generate new resources, and set up and monitor new service unit/ service program accordingly
- To develop the service directions of the centres/ projects, and the competence and leadership of the centre-in-charge / project leader for provision of quality services and building up effective team work
- To network community partners, professional bodies and media for promotion of agency and service image
Requirements:
- Registered social worker with a master degree in social work, early childhood education or related disciplines
- At least 10 years relevant work experiences in children and family services, with 5 years in managerial position
- Experience in managing fee-charging/ self-financed services and large-scale service projects
- Familiar with lump sum grant and laws, regulations and government policies related to child welfare and parent support, and network with government departments and related professional bodies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, staff management, negotiation, planning, problem solving and coaching skills
- Good leadership with strategic thinking
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
- Less experience will be considered as Service Coordinator
