Little Artist 2024
    Be an artistic philanthropist and fundraise for HKSPC   Little Artist is a kids’ fundraising initiative through the arts. Each participating individual/group creates an original artwork based on the theme “PLAY”. In December, the artwork will be exhibited at Phillips auction house and certificates and awards will be presented to participants. Money raised from this event will go towards HKSPC center playground renovation and other play-based programs.            Artwork Submission Deadline: 8 Nov 2024 Opening Ceremony/Award Presentation: 7 Dec 2024 Exhibition at Phillips: 7-8 Dec 2024 Online Exhibition: 10 Dec 2024 onwards       Individual – below 11 years old Individual – 11 to 16 years old Group - below 11 years old Group - 11 to 16 years old     All artworks should follow the theme “Play”. Size of artwork should not exceed 1m x 1m x 1m. Participants are welcome to use any materials of their choice to create the artwork, but correction fluid or tape cannot be used. For digital artwork, the assistance of AI is not accepted. All submitted artwork must be original. Artwork can be submitted in its original form or framed. Enrolled participants will be asked to submit a personal introduction and a photo (optional) to build a personal pledge page to invite their relatives and friends to make donations to support them. Each participating individual/group is required to find a minimum of 6 donors.     Participants have to fill out an online application form. Each participating individual/group is required to pay a fee of HK$200 for each artwork. Fees for participants using HKSPC services can be waived.       Each participant will receive a certificate of excellence, a letter of appreciation and a souvenir booklet, consisting of all artworks from this event. ​All participants will be invited to the Opening Ceremony and awards will be presented, including to the top three fundraising individuals/groups.     Physical artwork has to be submitted to the headquarters of HKSPC. Address is G/F, 387 Portland Street, Mongkok, Kowloon (Attn: Little Artist). Mark the name(s) of participant(s) and contact details on the back of the artwork. Digital artwork can be submitted by email (event@hkspc.org).     How many artworks can I/my group submit? Each participant/group is encouraged to submit 1 artwork.   Can my parent or art teacher create the artwork together with me? Parental/teacher's guidance is understandable, but we encourage participants to complete the artwork on their own.   Which group will we belong to if I am 6 years old and my partner is 12? You will be allocated to the “11 to 16 years old” group. The age of the oldest participant will be considered.   Is there a minimum on the pledge amount? There is no minimum required. However, participants are encouraged to pledge as much as possible. The bigger the donation, the more underprivileged children and families will benefit.   Can I get back my artwork after the event? “Happy Childhoods Uplift Us All” Conference
Scope of Conference The first 1,000 days of a child’s life are the golden period for their growth and development, laying the foundation for the comprehensive development of each individual. This conference examines the three key aspects that contribute to a well-rounded upbringing: physical health, mental health, and interpersonal relationship. A panel of experts will join us to share their insights and practical advice on creating a more nurturing environment for young children in Hong Kong. We believe that all of society benefits when children experience a happy childhood. Through this conference, we hope to share evidence-based practices and experiences with audiences to promote children's healthy development to reach their full potential.
